Become a Bone Marrow Donor
Each year 35,000 men, women and children are diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma and other life-threatening blood cancers that can be treated by a bone marrow or cord blood transplant.
Only 30 percent will find a matching donor within their families;the remaining 70 percent must search the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) Registry for a life-saving donor match, and a second chance at life.
Join the global movement of more than 11 million donors who stand ready to save a life. Give the gift.
For more info, please call NTAF (1-800-642-8399) or visit the NMDP website www.marrow.org to consider becoming a donor.

After becoming a donor, it is critical you speak with your loved ones so they know of your wishes, as they will be asked your intentions in the event of your incapacity. Unfortunately, there are stories of intended donors whose wishes were not honored because their loved ones did not know of their decision to become an organ donor.
Having a donor card is also a way to reinforce your commitment. Click on the green ribbon to download a PDF of the NTAF organ donor card.
Print, review with your family and sign the card. Carry in your wallet!
NTAF is deeply committed to educating the public about the critical need for organ, tissue and bone marrow donation. We involve patients, support groups and other volunteers in the promotion of organ donor awareness by providing training, presentation materials and organ donor cards.
Please call NTAF if you are interested in promoting organ, tissue or bone marrow donation in your community: 1-800-642-8399.
